AI you actually control.
As AI gets more capable and more expensive, the questions that matter stop being which model and become where it runs, who can see it, and who profits from the compute. Stevai is built around better answers to all three.
What we’re building
A decentralized AI network. People and organisations share idle hardware to run open models and earn for it; users get frontier-class answers at a fraction of the price, and choose the region and jurisdiction their requests run in. One company keeps the network safe and accountable — but no request is ever routed through a hyperscaler you didn’t choose.
Your conversations are encrypted at rest, and secrets are stripped on your device before anything leaves. Keep your history on a disk you own and Stevai holds no copy and no key at all.
Contribute compute and you’re reimbursed for electricity and bandwidth, plus a reward. Developers publish tools and keep the upside. The network grows because sharing pays.
Pricing tracks the real cost of the compute that answered you — electricity and internet — never an opaque per-token meter. It can only get cheaper as the network grows.
Frontier quality from modest hardware
No single open model on ordinary hardware matches the frontier alone. Stevai reaches it as a system: triage sends easy work to a cheap path, a strong model does the hard thinking, small models draft and verify in parallel, and every answer is grounded and fact-checked before it reaches you. Quality is a property of the network, not of any one machine.
